We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your email address, username or display name, password credentials, account preferences, messages you send to us, and any saved reptiles, quiz results, enclosure selections, or similar profile information you choose to use when those features are available.

Account and Authentication Information

If account features are enabled, we and our authentication provider may process information needed to create, secure, and maintain your account, including email address, username, password hash or authentication credentials, session tokens, IP address, user agent, account role, account creation date, and account activity metadata.

Analytics Data

We use PostHog to understand how the Service is used, improve features, measure performance, and manage feature flags. Analytics information may include:

• Clicks, navigation events, and feature usage
• Approximate location derived from IP address
• Device, browser, operating system, and referral information
• Session identifiers, timestamps, and similar technical data

Analytics data may be associated with a device or account identifier where permitted by our configuration and applicable law. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through analytics tools.

When ads are enabled, Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP address, page URL, and similar technologies to serve, measure, prevent fraud, and personalize ads based on visits to ReptiBuddy and other websites.

Like most websites, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, timestamps, logs, and interactions with the Service.

ReptiBuddy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at contact@reptibuddy.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law or as we consider appropriate.
